Background
Client approached us to build a Hololens AR app that will facilitate the assembly of an AxiChrom machine. The purpose of this AR experience is to streamline the manual assembly process by eliminating the need for a lengthy paper manual, freeing up hands for usage of tools and having an accurate representation of each step of the process.
The Problem
The assembly engineers need a better way to go through the training processes as traditional paper manuals for machine assembly of machines are lengthy and cumbersome, and training processes for the manufacturing industry are costly.
The Goal
Objective was to create an AR solution that will help with the assembly process of a complex machine. The process should include clear step-by-step instructions, animated 3D model to accompany each step and be hands-free. The experience should have high learnability (first time ease of use). Thus, increasing the efficiency and reducing costs of training via the use of Augmented Reality to help to usher in the new era of manufacturing.

I worked in a cross-functional team. As the main interaction designer, I was involved in all phases of the project, from mapping out the problem to delivering final designs.
